Khon Kaen University Library promotes and transfers the idea for “3D Library” (good books, good librarians and good environment) to teachers and educational personnel in Khon Kaen schools.
September 3, 2019 – Khon Kaen University Library led by Mrs. Yaowapa Jansri, Chairperson of the Library Development and Counseling Project for the Community and the committee members joined Mr. Thanawat Thanakhamma, Director of Thairathwittaya School 84 (Ban Samranpiaphan) organized a workshop on “Development of Library as a Learning Resource at Thairathwittaya School 84” at the conference room of Thairathwittaya School 84.
The activity aimed at expanding as well as promoting teachers and education personnel in Khon Kaen schools to apply the 3D Library model, “Good books, good librarians and good environment”. This model and OpenBiblio program were introduced for the participants to apply in their development of the system of information resources so that teachers, students and citizens in general will be able to search for information resources of each library via the internet network at any time and any places. The participants included personnel from 24 schools in Khon Kaen and the committee members of the Library Development and Counseling Project for the Community, Khon Kaen University, totaling 32 people. The guest speakers from the project included Mr. Teerayut Banchon, an information officer, Miss Suleeporn Pantanawiboon, a senior professional librarian, and Miss Chutikan Butprom, a professional librarian of Khon Kaen University Library.
Mr. Thanawat Thanakhamma, Director of Thairathwittaya School 84 (Ban Samranpiaphan) expressed his appreciation of the workshop organization to Khun Yaowapha and the team from KKU Library and all teachers who participated and had carried out good activities for school pupils. He hopes that the team would be a network for development of libraries as the important learning resources for the children to acquire knowledge and life skills for their future.
