February 2, 2024 – Khon Kaen University led by Assoc. Prof. Nawarat Wara-Aswapati, Ph.D., Vice President for International Affairs; Assoc. Prof. Darunee Jothityangkoon, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture; and Asst. Prof. Kwanket Kanitthanon, Ph.D., Acting Director of the International Affairs Division, Khon Kaen University, welcomed Professor Tony O’Donnell, Senior Advisor Research and Internationalization and Professor Peter Davies, Pro Vice Chancellor, Food Futures Institutes, Murdoch University, Australia, on the occasion of the delegation’s visit to discuss academic and research collaboration, and exchanges of students and lecturers at Khon Kaen University.
Assoc. Prof. Nawarat Wara-Aswapati, Ph.D., Vice President for International Affairs explained that this year, Khon Kaen University is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the University. Likewise, Murdoch University is reaching the 50th year of the foundation next year. The pride and success of the two universities are the similar propulsion of both institutions towards international strategic development, exchange of academic affairs at the international level, and extension of international collaboration.
Murdoch University, Australia is composed of 4 key colleges. The structural organization is in accordance with research expertise, and the University emphasizes application and transfer of knowledge to the society, industry and business sectors.
On this occasion, the two distinguished Professors kindly gave a special talk to students and lecturers of Khon Kaen University on: “MU Food Institute and Food Security in the Asia Pacific and Development of Institutional Research Network on Food Security and Green Agriculture” at the Faculty of Agriculture, Khon Kaen University.
