KKU hosts the 38th Universities Knowledge Management Forum

March 30, 2022 – Khon Kaen University hosted the 38th Universities Knowledge Management Forum (UKM38), which was held online by Zoom Meeting. Assoc. Prof. Kriengkrai Kitcharoen, Ph.D., Vice President for Human Resources welcomed the network members from 6 universities. This project is under the Memorandum of Agreement for knowledge management among 6 universities: Khon Kaen University, Naresuan University, Mahidol University, Rajabhat University Mahasarakham, Walailak University, and Prince of Songkhla University. 382 people attended.

Assoc. Prof. Kriengkrai Kitcharoen said, “The Memorandum of Agreement has been made for the 5th phase now. It can be seen that all of the universities see the importance and have received benefits in applying the knowledge and experiences in the development and improvement of their institutions. This 38th Universities Knowledge Management Forum (UKM38) has been organized under the topic: Growth of Academic and Supporting Staff. This issue is very important in the personnel administration of an organization. If personnel progress is administered efficiently, benefits will arise to the personnel as well as the organization that will step forward towards success as planned.”

The event featured special talks in progress management by experts including Prof. Supachai Pathumnakul, Ph.D., Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, whose topic was: “Guidelines for Setting Academic Growth of University Lecturers at Present and in the Future”. The other talk was by Prof. Jiraprapha Akkarabaworn, Dean of the Faculty of Human Resource Development, the National Institute of Development Administration on: “Guidelines for Administration of Growth of University’s Supporting Personnel”.

The afternoon session was the learning and sharing of the implementation on personnel progress in each network university. This activity was conducted in 2 groups. The first group was on the implementation of the growth of academic staff and the second group was on the implementation of the growth of supporting staff.
