Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy opens the Alibaba Incubation Center, ready to offer 6 short courses to prepare digital-era entrepreneurs

April 1, 2022 from 13:00 to 15:00 p.m. – Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, Khon Kaen University held an opening event for the Alibaba Incubation Center and KKBS Digital Entrepreneur Journey (Short Courses) at Wanglert Room, 1st Floor, BS.01, Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy. The event was also organized live from Alibaba GDT Thailand Page. Assoc. Prof. Maitree Inprasitha, Ph.D., Vice President for Education and Academic Service presided over the event. Assoc. Prof. Pensri Charoenwanit, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy delivered the reporting speech. Alibaba GDT Thailand was represented by Khun Naren Thongkwao, General Director of C.C.N Partners Co. Ltd., the official agent of Alibaba GDT Thailand; Khun Phumphat Chatchairungruang, an Alibaba Specialist. Attending as an honor guest was Assoc. Prof. Sumalee Chaicharoen, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Education and lecturers, students from KKU and news reporters.

Assoc. Prof. Pensri Charoenwanit, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy of Khon Kaen University reported that Khon Kaen University entered an MOU for academic collaboration with Alibaba Global Digital Talent (GDT) on July 16, 2021. The MOU is aimed at promoting knowledge, activities and development of programs for building businesses in the digital era for KKU students and staff. It is also aimed at developing potentialities for stepping forward as digital entrepreneurs. KKU and KKBS have integrated the programs of Alibaba GDT with the business administration program in order to enhance and modify the instruction that will incorporate eCommerce business.

In order to expand the collaboration for optimal benefits, the Alibaba GDT Incubation Center has been established. The center will support, assist, and promote the youths and the public who are interested to operate an E-commerce business through the use of digital technology. Six training programs have been developed, called KKBS Digital Entrepreneur Journey (6 Short Courses), as follows: Lesson 1: Business mindset in the view of Alibaba in Digital Era; Lesson 2: Business Profiling; Lesson 3: Digital Marketing;  Lesson 4: Digital Retailing; Lesson 5: Wholesale eCommerce with Alibaba.com; Lesson 6: Exporting Your Business with EXIM Bank. The target group includes students, lecturers and staff of Khon Kaen University and the general public who are interested in starting business in the digital era. It is hoped that the Alibaba GDT Incubation Center and the opening of KKBS Digital Entrepreneur Journey (6 Short Courses) will benefit lecturers, students, staff of Khon Kaen University and the public.

Assoc. Prof. Maitree Inprasitha, Ph.D., Vice President for Education and Academic Service conveyed the opening address while Khun Naren Thongkwao, General Director of C.C.N Partners Co. Ltd., the official agent of Alibaba GDT Thailand explained about the objectives and the support for the center. Khun Naren then continued to explain about the training courses. Finally, Khun Phumphat Chatchairungruang, an Alibaba Specialist gave details about the support for the operations of the center by Alibaba.com.

Assoc. Prof. Pensri Charoenwanit, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy then led the distinguished guests, participants and the news reporters to Alibaba Incubation Center, which is on the 1st Floor, the Library of the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy. On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Pensri cut the ribbon to officially open the Alibaba Incubation Center.
