KKU holds orientation of AI Online: MIT Critical Data, USA

October 8, 2020, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Sirikunakorn Room 3, 2nd Floor, Sirikunakorn Building – Division of Foreign Affairs arranged an orientation of the AI Online program by MIT Critical Data from the United States. The objective was to enhance the competency of lecturers of Khon Kaen University in Artificial Intelligence, which will lead to development in AI in Healthcare, both in the aspects of program development and service. Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., President of Khon Kaen University presided over the opening session and conveyed an opening address. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Navarat Wara-aswapati Charoen, Vice President for Foreign Affairs made a reporting speech of the activity.

Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., President of Khon Kaen University revealed that one of the challenges universities are facing is intensive competition in instruction, research, and academic service. Universities must be ready for changes in digital technology and the advances in artificial intelligence (AI), which are now occurring very fast. Therefore, supporting and promoting university lecturers to learn about AI online, which is run by MIT Critical Data from the United States this time, would enhance the competence of KKU personnel in Artificial Intelligence. The personnel would be able to catch up with the leaping changes of technologies and to apply the knowledge for the benefits of instruction, research, development as well as to help promote the quality of life of the people. In addition, it is expected that programs in AI in Healthcare will be developed along with advances in medical service of Khon Kaen University in the future.
