July 25, 2020 at the Main Building of Science Park – Khon Kaen University held the 8th “Research to Market” Competition. The opening ceremony was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., President of Khon Kaen University, who also gave the prize to winning teams. Prof. Thidarat Boonmars, Ph.D., Vice President for Innovation and Enterprise welcomed participants and reported on the event’s objectives. The Vice President then gave the prize to the first runner-up team. Dr. Apirachai Wongsriworapon, Director of the Science Park attended the ceremony and gave the prize to the second runner-up team. The event was attended by 4 committee members: 1) Khun Preecha Pannikul, an administrative committee member of KKU Science Park, 2) Khun Sujittraporn Wongsrikaew, Committee Member of Dee Prom Wittaya Co. Ltd., 3) Khun Wannisa Wongsampanno, Senior Manager of KKU Science Park, and 4) Khun Kanokporn Kulasri, Head of Strategic Planning Group, Brilliant & Million Co. Ltd. 9 teams of students and lecturers attended.
Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., President of Khon Kaen University said, “The 8th Research to Market” competition held by Science Park under the Innovation and Enterprise Section of Khon Kaen University is aimed at driving forward the research work of KKU towards the market. The project supported students and researchers to work together in making possible business plans that will develop until products are manufactures or services are concrete. The event provides opportunity for researchers who have come up with innovations to be known in the public. The topics planning, team working, systematic thinking, and preparation for presentation were given by experienced guest speakers. The competition is the first step towards the regional stage competition and the country competition.”
Competition Results
First Prize – Nugget Team receiving an award of 15,000 baht
First Runner-up Prize – Begin Again Team receiving an award of 10,000 baht
Second Runner-up Prize – Urgent Job Team receiving an award of 5,000 baht
Two Honorable Mention Prizes – Khun Prayat Team and 304 Team receiving an award of 2,500 baht each
All of the five winning teams will represent Khon Kaen University in the regional competition at Suranaree University of Technology.
