KKU and KK Educational Service Area 1 aim to improve students’ 21 century skills

Institute for Research and Development in Teaching Profession for ASEAN and Office of Khon Kaen Primary Educational Service Area 1 sign MOU, and 42 schools attend the ceremony

    On Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 2.30 p.m. at the meeting room of Institute for Research and Development in Teaching Profession for ASEAN, there was MOU signing ceremony between Institute for Research and Development in Teaching Profession for ASEAN and Office of Khon Kaen Primary Educational Service Area 1. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Maitree Inprasitha, Director of Institute for Research and Development in Teaching Profession for ASEAN, remarked welcome speech and mentioned the approaches to implement the MOU plan. Dr. Phumpat Ruanglae, Director of Office of Khon Kaen Primary Educational Service Area 1, explained the importance of the MOU witnessed by deans of various faculties, Administrative Committee of Institute for Research and Development in Teaching Profession for ASEAN, lecturers of the Faculty of Education, Committee of the Educational Foundation for Development of Thinking Skills, staff, and directors of 42 schools in Khonn Kaen Primary Educational Service Area 1.  

    This MOU was signed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Maitree Inprasitha, Director of Institute for Research and Development in Teaching Profession for ASEAN, and Dr. Phumpat Ruanglae, Director of Office of Khon Kaen Primary Educational Service Area 1. MOU signing ceremony was witnessed by Mr. Preecha,  Kruawan, Councellor for Research and Assessment, Assoc. Prof. Jumpol Rachvijit, Councellor for Academic Services and training, Dr. Sirikul Namsiri, Deputy Director of Office of Khon Kaen Primary Educational Service Area 1, and Dr. Pongladda Ruknarong, Inspector of Office of Khon Kaen Primary Educational Service Area 1.     

    At 3 p.m., the MOU between Institute for Research and Development in Teaching Profession for ASEAN and 42 schools, subsidiary to Office of Khon Kaen Primary Educational Service Area 1, was signed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Maitree Inprasitha and 42 school directors respectively.  

The objectives of the MOU are presented as follow: 

  1. To improve 21 century skills of students in Khon Kaen Primary Educational Service Area 1
  2. To improve Khon Kaen Primary Educational Service Area 1 teachers’ performance of educational  

    management enabling students’ necessary 21 century skills

  1. To develop professional learning community for teachers and educational personnel in Khon Kaen 

    Primary Educational Service Area 1

  1. To develop schools of this project to become source of knowledge improving teaching profession with

    Innovation

  1. To share innovation for teaching profession improvement and educational management

    The collaboration between two institutes will lead to important activities – development of environment for innovation usage encouragement, Professional Learning Community (PLC), camp of subsisiary schools for students’ characteristic improvement, training session before and during application of innovation, application of Lesson Study innovation, and Open Approach at school to improve thinking skill (with the collaboration between teachers and students on teaching internship inspected at different phases).
