“Sirikunakorn Building” is the building, which was graciously opened by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on Thursday December 23, 2010.
“Sirikunakorn Building” is the name given by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. “Sirikunakorn Building” means the building of virtue and auspiciousness. It is a 7-storey reinforced concrete building offering a total area of 19,781.49 m2 of usable space.
The construction budget amounting to 169,786,990 baht was allocated by the Government, and a supplementary amount of 132,990,500 baht was derived from Khon Kaen University’s revenue. The combined amounts totaled 302,777,490 baht. The construction commenced in 2005 and was completed in 2010.
The building houses administrators’ offices, lecture rooms, meeting rooms, reception rooms, and office space for those units working under the President.
