From February 20-23, 2025, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pongsutti Phuensane, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy at Khon Kaen University, along with executives, staff, and students, participated in the first Thailand Regional Business School Network (TRBS NET) meeting of 2025. The gathering, hosted at the Faculty of Business Administration, Chiang Mai University, served as a platform to discuss academic collaboration, teaching methodologies, research initiatives, and academic services.
The meeting facilitated knowledge exchange and explored opportunities for staff and student mobility programs among four leading business education institutions representing Thailand’s major regions: Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy (Khon Kaen University), Faculty of Business Administration (Chiang Mai University), Faculty of Management Sciences (Prince of Songkla University), and Faculty of Business Administration (Burapha University).
As the host institution, Chiang Mai University’s Faculty of Business Administration led discussions on several key initiatives, including the development of CMUBS AOL Indirect Assessment data management systems, cooperative education management, technological innovation implementation, and the creation of 360-degree virtual tour promotional media. The network also planned their next meeting, scheduled for October 2025, which will be hosted by the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy at Khon Kaen University.
The event featured student development activities for 2025, with presentations showcasing student development projects and social initiatives from each partner university (KM & Show My Best Practice). Students from all four institutions also participated in environmental conservation volunteer work and explored natural attractions in Chiang Mai province.
A highlight of the TRBS NET meeting was the announcement of the International and National Conference on Business Administration and Accountancy (INCBAA 2026), themed “Bridging Technological Transformation & Sustainable Performance.” The prestigious event will feature Professor Dr. Dr. h.c. Marko Sarstedt, Head of the Institute for Finance & Banking at LMU Munich School of Management, Germany, who will lead a panel discussion and workshop on Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM).
