In a groundbreaking move toward educational innovation, Khon Kaen University’s Faculty of Education is joining forces with South Korean education technology leader ARO Thinking to revolutionize learning in Thailand. This landmark collaboration will transform Khon Kaen University Demonstration School into the country’s first Future Education classroom.
The initiative will showcase state-of-the-art learning spaces featuring an AI Coding Academy, E-sports facilities, advanced English learning programs, Smart Education technology, an interactive Kid Café, and the revolutionary Thinking Play innovation. This comprehensive approach aims to create an immersive learning environment that nurtures both technological proficiency and creative thinking.
“We’re not just building a classroom – we’re crafting the future of Thai education,” says Assoc. Prof. Dr. Issara Kanjug, Dean of the Faculty of Education. “By partnering with South Korea’s educational technology experts, we’re bringing world-class digital learning platforms to Thai students, preparing them for success in the digital age.”
The collaboration, initiated on December 25, 2024, brings together KKU’s educational expertise with ARO Thinking’s technological innovation. The partnership was solidified during a significant meeting attended by Mr. Kwon Yangho, ARO Thinking’s Managing Director, and Mr. Lee Jongil, ARO Thinking’s Thai President, along with the faculty’s executive team. During their visit, the delegation conducted a thorough inspection of the school premises where the innovative Thinking Play system will be installed.
Looking beyond the immediate project, the partnership encompasses ambitious plans to establish a joint venture company focused on Future Education. This venture will create and distribute educational innovations throughout Thailand and the broader region. Additionally, the collaboration will facilitate teacher exchange programs and develop comprehensive training initiatives for both educators and students, ensuring the sustainable growth of this educational innovation.
This transformative partnership between Khon Kaen University and ARO Thinking marks not just a milestone in Thai education, but a bold step toward preparing the next generation for the challenges and opportunities of an increasingly digital world.
