Khon Kaen, Thailand – December 24, 2024 – Khon Kaen University buzzed with collaborative energy as it welcomed a distinguished delegation from Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP) for a dynamic knowledge-sharing session focused on the Education Criteria for Performance Excellence (EdPEx). The visit, held from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM, saw leaders and experts from both institutions converge to explore best practices in educational quality management.
Dr. Pawana Kittiwimonchai, Acting Director of KKU’s Office of Educational Quality Development, warmly greeted the 24-member RMUTP delegation, led by RMUTP President Dr. Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabul. The group, comprised of university executives and key personnel, gathered at the Sirikunakorn Building on KKU’s campus, eager to delve into KKU’s successful EdPEx implementation.
“RMUTP is deeply committed to EdPEx,” Dr. Rachsiriwatcharabul stated, highlighting the university’s initiative to pilot the framework within four key units of its Office of the President. “We recognize Khon Kaen University’s continuous progress in this area and see it as a valuable model for our own journey. This exchange is crucial for us to effectively utilize EdPEx as a powerful management tool.”
Dr. Pawana emphasized KKU’s long-standing commitment to quality assurance, noting the university’s successful integration of EdPEx at both the university and faculty levels. “We’ve seen remarkable results from using EdPEx,” she shared, “and we’re excited to share our experiences. Furthermore, we’re committed to adopting the ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) standards for all programs by 2025.”
The afternoon featured an insightful lecture by Dr. Pawana on KKU’s “Educational Quality Assurance System Based on EdPEx.” The session sparked lively discussions, covering topics such as: Translating EdPEx policies into practical actions; Effective data collection and self-assessment reporting; Preparing for and navigating external evaluations; and Addressing challenges and finding solutions to achieve operational excellence.
This collaborative event not only showcased KKU’s dedication to academic excellence but also fostered a valuable exchange of knowledge, paving the way for both universities to further enhance their educational practices.
