COLA KKU Celebrates 2nd International Day

With the goal of celebrating unity amidst diversity and promoting English as a global language, the College of Local Administration of Khon Kaen University conducted its second International Day celebration last July 26, 2024.

The celebration was honored by the presence of distinguished guests, including COLA Dean Associate Asst. Prof. Dr. Sirisak Laochankham, Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs Asst. Prof. Dr. Grichawat Lowatcharin, Associate Dean for Academic, Research, and Global Affairs Dr. Suriyanon Pholsim, Assistant Dean for Student Excellence and Alumni Engagement, and International Lecturer Dr. Xenia R. Emperador-Garnace. The event also saw participation from numerous students, faculty, and staff from various departments.

The event showcased the vibrant cultural diversity of participating students from China, Indonesia, Myanmar, Cambodia, and the exchange students from the University of Baguio, Philippines. Dressed in traditional and colorful attire, these students presented a variety of their countries’ delectable dishes, famous tourist attractions, and rich cultural heritage at their booths. Highlights included traditional songs and dances, with a particularly impressive performance of a Muslim dance by the UB exchange students.
