Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul (MD), President of KKU, announces intention to fight against corruption for transparency and good governance of governmental organization
According to Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), Integrity and Transparency Assessment (ITA) of the fiscal year 2019 has been proceeded, and it requires administrators to show transparency in administration based on good governance. Open Data Integrity and Transparency Assessment (OIT) is also done as stated in the 10th indicator, number O34 of sub-indicator 10.1 regarding honest intention of administrators – the present chief executive officers shall give a word to perform and administrate with transparency and good governance.
On Monday April 22, 2019 at Sirikunakorn Building, Office of President, Khon Kaen University, Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul announced intention of KKU to fight against corruption for the fiscal year 2019. He made a statement at KKU Executive Board Meeting (6/2019).
“We shall work honestly and strictly obey the law, follow the professional rules, and norms of society. We shall not be resort to bribery, not abuse our power by taking public benefits to be ours, not accept any kinds of corruption, not use our knowledge to take advantages from other people. Together, we shall develop society with ethic and philosophy of self-sufficiency economy for the prosperity of our nation in the future.”
The stated intention is going to be issued in Khon Kaen University announcement numbered 985/2562 dated April 9, 2019. The announcement, which is about Khon Kaen University’s intention to fight against corruption, will be standard as well as approach to practice. It also inform staff members and public to know the good intention of the university.
