Congratulations to the 35 KKU researchers enlisted among the world’s scientists with the highest publications and citations!

The International journal, PLOS BIOLOGY, has recently publicized an article by Stanford University, a world leading university in the United States on: “Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators”. The article reveals the list of the World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University, 2021 in 22 principle and 176 minor fields, altogether totaling over 100,000 scientists.

The selection and prioritization was assessed from analysis of the impact from each scientist’s research and citations published in Scopus from 1996 to 2020. Indicators included citations, co-authorship, and h-index. It is a pleasure to know that 35 researchers from Khon Kaen University are among the World’s top 2% scientists. The names and groups of the KKU researchers are as follows:

Group 1: This group is classified by their career-long citation impact, referred to as ‘c-score’, in the category of career-long data, which is from 1996 to 2021. Thirteen KKU researchers are categorized under this group, namely: 1. Prof. Banchob Sripa, Ph.D., in Oncology& Carcinogenesis, from Faculty of Medicine; 2.
