September 29, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. – The French Embassy in Thailand and the Division of International Affairs, Khon Kaen University organized a special talk on: “Studies in France and Scholarships & Fellowship and Mobility Programs” by Dr. Xavier Grosmaitre, Attaché for Scientific and Higher Education Cooperation; Ms. Gabrille Lenormand, Head of Campus France Thailand, French Embassy; and Mr. Pollawat Kantapom, Student Advisor, Campus France, French Embassy. The talk was aimed at providing guidelines for studies in France, scholarships at different levels, the French education system, how to choose programs and apply for research scholarships, and the cultural exchange programs in France. The event was held at the Graduate School Conference Room, 4th Floor, Bimala Galakicha Building, Khon Kaen University. Over 60 people attended including lecturers, students, staff and interested public.
Asst. Prof. Acharawan Tophark-ngam, Ph.D., Assistant to the President for International Affairs presided over the opening session. She explained that the Campus France Tour 2022 is a collaborative activity in education between Thai universities and French universities. This activity has been continuously ongoing. Khon Kaen University has also collaborated with the French Embassy in Thailand, and in 2021 KKU had an opportunity to welcome H.E. Dr. Thierry Mathou, the French Ambassador to Thailand on the occasion of his visit to KKU. Collaboration includes the Matching Funds Program under the Franco-Thai Scholarship Program and the Franco-Thai Mobility Program (PHC SIAM) for research collaboration.
