September 16, 2022 from 14:30 to 16:00 p.m. at Bayasita Hotel – The International Affairs Division of Khon Kaen University and the KKU Initiative for Learning and Teaching (KKUiLT) Project held a learning and sharing activity to build a network of the teaching professionals under the topic: “Assessment is Learning”. The keynote speakers were from 3 different fields, namely, Doctor Athipong Patanasettapong from the Faculty of Medicine; Asst. Prof. Kornwipa Poonpon, Ph.D., from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences; and Assoc. Prof. Khwantree Saengprachatanarak, Ph.D., from the Faculty of Engineering. The event featured Group Discussion and Case study that opened a chance for participants to share their teaching experiences as well as learning the others’ techniques in a cross-disciplinary style. The activities were organized in a Hybrid format.
Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., President of Khon Kaen University came to preside over the opening session and talked about his vision related to education transformation of Khon Kaen University. “KKU initiative for Learning and Teaching (KKUiLT) is one of the different parts of the policy of educational transformation of the University. It is aimed at building a lecturers’ network so that there will be learning and sharing among them for improving teaching and learning. There is no boundary in this regard of faculties or disciplines that can be an obstacle. It provides a venue for bringing instructional experiences of different fields together, with expectation to expand towards national and international networks. The final goal is the learning community for true and sustainable instructional development.”
