KKU Science Park is a full-cycle center for research and development in sciences and technologies of the Northeast. Potential technologies can be improved and extended towards commercial and business scales here. The Park is responsible for transfer of technologies in order that research work outcomes can be commercially utilized. Provincial strategic clusters are supported, e.g., farm and food industries using cash crops such as rice, cassava, sugarcane, local herbs and livestock including pigs and chicken. Industry related to information technology is also promoted. The Park is the source for developing manpower and creating scientific and technological masses. The aim is to encourage industrial and technological development in the region so as to promote the regional economy that is the foundation of national development. All of these will lead to sustainable employment and increase of incomes of the region as well as better quality of life of the people.
