June 18, 2020 – Khon Kaen University by the KKU Science Park joined the Project for Collaboration and Development of Business Incubator, in the team of Thailand, Lao PDR, Cambodia and Vietnam. The Project was a Startup Contest at the ASEAN Regional level, a program activity for development of students and incubation of entrepreneurs. The event was entitled the International Young Startup Contest 2022, and was intended to train and transfer the student-development process towards becoming entrepreneurs. The network institutions were able to join. The event was also a stage for personnel of the network institutions to experiment on implementations through a student development mechanism for being entrepreneurs. Twenty four teams from Thailand were selected. There were 2 teams sent from Khon Kaen University: Hello Future and 3S (Three S), from Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Sciences.
The contest in Thailand limited the number of team to two per institution. Pitching was done to select only 6 teams. 3S (Three S) team from KKU was selected to represent Thailand at the International Young Startup Contest 2022, with the teams from Lao PDR, Cambodia, and Vietnam.
