June 30, 2021, 9:00 a.m., at the Conference Room, Building 1, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science, Khon Kaen University – Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., President of Khon Kaen University presided over the MOU signing ceremony for opening a dual-degree program, which is under the collaboration between the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science and the College of Graduate Study in Management of Khon Kaen University. The MOU was signed by Assoc. Prof. Paiboon Daosodsai, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science and Assoc. Prof. Lampang Manmart, Ph.D., Dean of the College of Graduate Study in Management. Among key witnesses were Vice President for Education and Academic Services, Director of the Academic Development and Administration Bureau, personnel and administrators of the two institutions.
In accordance with the policy set by Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., President of Khon Kaen University on New Paradigm Curricula that will bring about Education Transformation, the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science and the College of Graduate Study in Management of Khon Kaen University have arrived at the agreement to open a dual-degree program for students who are enrolled in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science to be able to study in parallel a program of the College of Graduate Study in Management.

The ceremony started with Assoc. Prof. Lampang Manmart, Ph.D., Dean of the College of Graduate Study in Management conveying a reporting speech. “The Memorandum of Understanding for offering a dual-degree program is aimed at promoting and enhancing the business management competency to the students of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science and to support activities in other aspects as seen appropriate by the two institutions.”
The President then made an opening address and explained about the policy in terms of multiple or dual-degree programs.
The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science and the College of Graduate Study in Management have agreed to run the following dual-degree program – the 6-year Pharmaceutical Science Program and the Master’s Degree program in Business Management – for students who are enrolled in the Pharmaceutical Science Program to be able to take courses towards the MBA program at the same time. A committee will be appointed in due course comprising personnel from the two institutions to set details for the program under this MOU.
