KKU President visits and supports officers on duty at the first Field Hospital of Khon Kaen (Dorm 26, KKU)

With reference to the official establishing of the first field hospital for Covid-19 patients by Khon Kaen University, Khon Kaen Public Health Office and the Contagious Disease Committee of Khon Kaen on April 15, 2021;

 

Today (April 20, 2021) at 9:00 a.m. – Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., President of Khon Kaen University together with Assoc. Prof. Piansak Pakdee , Vice President for Student Development and Alumni Relation paid a visit as a moral support to officers on duty at the field hospital, promising them the safety precautions taken.

“Khon Kaen University is a public organization with resources that are ready to support the country in time of crisis. We cooperate with Khon Kaen Province, Khon Kaen Public Health Office and the Contagious Disease Committee of Khon Kaen in modifying the Dormitory No. 26 of KKU as a field hospital that meets the standard of the Ministry of Public Health. This dormitory has just been renovated and now that there are still no students staying, it can be made shift into a field hospital. Khon Kaen Central Hospital also cooperated by helping us setting the system according to the Ministry’s standards for practices, including management of different kinds of wastes. Impacts on those living nearby are to be cautiously and completely avoided, and at the same time, it is KKU’s intention to help the country pass this situation efficiently and quickly.”
